Our morning walk with our friend's dog, Elmer, at Riverbend Park. |
I fired my farm boy from his morning chores today. This sounds severe, I know. But upon discovering at around 1:00 pm, that he had forgotten to let 30 chickens out of the coop and into the run, where their food and water awaited, he was fired. So tomorrow morning, instead of my husband doing the morning animal farm chores, I am back on the job.
He was kind enough to take the chores over from me this summer, when I had a hurty back from hoeing in the garden (sounds lame, I know, but hoeing is really hard work if you really put your back into it.) So tomorrow morning, instead of lounging in bed until seven am, I'm up and at 'em at six for chores and then I plan to go run to Riverbend Park to excercise my not-hurty-back.
Sometimes firing the farm boy is for the best. Believe me, my husband was relieved.
