Never Give a Three-Year-Old a Haircut Before Nap Time

Even if he asks you to, never give a haircut to a three year old before his nap time.  

Even if he asks for the clippers, don't do it before nap time, because if you do, he will be fine for about thirty seconds, but then you might pull his hair a little and he will melt down like nobody's business.  He will jump up and run and kick you when you try to apprehend him.

And then after you grab him like a football and hold him on your lap and finish the job with clippers, all the while he's kicking and crying, because for whatever crazy reason you think that you just have to finish the haircut, he will cry and say you're stupid.

And you will have to admit that it was stupid to give a haircut to a three year old before nap time.
