Make-up Tea Party

For his 3rd Birthday, Julian wanted to have a Tea Party.  So the weekend after his birthday, we planned his Birthday Tea Party.  But most of us had a cold that weekend, so we cancelled the party and rescheduled for the following weekend.  Once or twice, I think I said, "We'll have your Make-up Tea Party next weekend."  or "Your Make-up Tea Party is in four days, since we had a cold we are having it in four days."  About the 2nd time it was out of my mouth, I watched as Julian's gears began to turn.  Hmmmm.  Make-up party?  Why is mama saying make-up?

"I'm going to have a Make-up Party, and I'm going to put on Make-up!" he said.  Tea Parties aren't just for little girls and people who don't realize that they get tax breaks!  They're for Julian, too!

The kiddos made the dinner rolls for the soup.  I made a giant batch of Gluten Free bread dough, thinking it would work, but it turned out really sticky.  Thank goodness for Slice O' Life Bakery!  Slice O' Life bread dough to the rescue!

Check out that Wabi Sabi pic.  Awww yeah!  Imperfection at its best!  Someday I'll understand composition and aperture, but for now, I'll settle for tractor rides and little girls with bonnets.  Love it!
Thanks to all our friends for sharing the fun.  It was really, really fun.  oxoxo
